Yeah, they advertise this stuff on their Facebook page and if you "like" them, you'll see notifications in your feed.
I dunno. I'm still on my free trial and I listen to it almost daily. The sound quality is ok (I have the Bose stereo, so I'm sure it's a step up from the base one). I don't use it to listen to news, talk radio nor sports. There are almost no ads.
My use of Pandora in the car comes and goes in phases. Right now, since I've got the trial, I've been using XM Sirius quite a bit, just to take advantage. I am enjoying quite a bit of stuff that I otherwise wouldn't find/stumble across myself and that Pandora doesn't seem to play for me...
Otherwise, I listen to a few podcasts, NPR News app stories and my own music on my iPod Classic.
I've heard that if you your trial expires and you let it stay inactive for say 6 months, they might give you a much better price. That's probably what I'll do. If that doesn't come thru, I'll probably just subscribe to XM Mostly Music. Even better if it I can get it cheap.

Years ago, before I had a smartphone or Pandora, I had an XM subscription. After I canceled it, they left it active for 12 full months... and I probably listened to it three times.
The sound quality is just awful, and there are so many ads... what's the point? News, talk, and sports? I can't think of any other reason to have it. They sure do waste a lot of money sending "we want you back" crap in the mail.
It used to be better.
