I know the battery pack is sealed, but since it is passively cooled, that means air-cooled - if there aren't any passages for outside air to flow over the pack, Nissan screwed up even worse than I thought.

The battery is a sealed unit and not only does it not have any air intakes, it has high thermal mass and thus cools off very slowly...

Has anyone tried a little active cooling with floor type fans? Are there battery air intakes to direct the stream from a fan into?
